Coursework: Film pitch

1) What will be the title for your own original NEW horror film? If you're not sure, write down two or three possible titles and you can choose later.

Theo’s Revenge

2) Write a tagline for your film – it's effectively a slogan for the movie:

A different type of company. A different type of revenge.

3) Write a logline – this is like a longer version of the tagline. It's one sentence that sums up the film and hooks the audience in under 25 words:

When a young boy thought he asked for a seemingly innocent present on his birthday, who knew a day of joy could turn into a horrific ordeal.

4) Write down any existing horror films that are similar to yours ("My film idea is like a cross between Scream and Contagion"):

My film idea is inspired by Chucky and Annabelle, but instead of dolls I’m using a teddy bear.

5) What is your narrative/storyline? Write a short paragraph that explains what happens in your film:

A school boy whose turning 13 living with his grandmother asks for a new phone on his birthday, she ends up giving him an old teddy bear that was passed on from her childhood. Thinking the boy would he happy, he complains telling her that teddy bears are for babies and proceeds to throw it away in his wardrobe. Little does he know that what he did angered the time-worn teddy bear.

6) What is your main character’s name and what happens to them? You can also mention other characters if you wish.

There isn’t just one main character, the film mainly revolves around the school boy named Joseph, the grandmother who Jospeh refers to as ‘nana’, and the teddy bear named Theo (short for Theodore). The teddy bear gets revenge on Joseph for abandoning him, which turns brutal.

7) Who or what will be the villain or threat in your horror movie?

The teddy bear will be the threat in my horror movie.

8) What is the name of your film's director? You can use your own name here if you wish.

The name of the film director is called Marianna Odishou, me.

9) What costume/make-up/props will you need for your photographs for your website?

I obviously will be needing the teddy bear, a long with fake blood and a fake knife and maybe other stuff.

10) What font/typography/colour you will use to create a brand for your film’s title and branding?

I’m not sure what font and typography I’ll be using just yet, but as for the colour it'll be red and black.
